For the last two years, Slurpy Studios have been hugely honoured to be involved with the burgeoning Dublin Animation Festival, which is the only festival in Ireland that is dedicated completely to showcasing animated films. Organised by the irrepressible Fionnghuala Ni Neill, their remit is to showcase animated films by Irish and international animators, hold industry related events and introduce the joy of animation and creativity to children and ‘beginners’ of all ages.

In 2015, Creative Director Katie Steed judged the Best Irish Short Film Category and provided portfolio reviews

In 2016, Katie Steed will once again be a judge, lending her critical eye and keen observations to the panel, and deciding who takes home the coveted DAFF Trophy.
